LibertyX who claim to be America’s first and largest network of Bitcoin’s ATM’s, Kiosks and cashiers have now set up over 25,000 locations in the USA where users can purchase Bitcoin. This recent surge includes 20,000 stores namely 7-Eleven, Rite Aid Pharmacy and CVS stores where people can now buy Bitcoin in exchange for cash. 45 out of the 50 or 52 (for some people) states in America now have a LibertyX powered Bitcoin buying service.
With the company slogan of LibertyX being “Bitcoin on every block”, this push to make the cryptocurrency accessible for all is certainly proof that they are serious of transforming the crypto world by bringing the people closer to it. Initiated in 2013, the company has self-proclaimed itself to be the biggest network of Bitcoin purchasing setup and they have prepared a Store locater App which allows customers to find the nearest place to get Bitcoins. According to the CEO of LibertyX, Chris Yim, the adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency has been limited by trust and accessibility. Thus, they want to expand their presence to allow people who are curious about the crypto concept to be able to easily participate in the transactions and experience Bitcoin for themselves. Keeping in mind that there are about 9,000 7-Eleven stores, about 10,000 CVS stores and 2,000+ Rite Aid Pharmacy stores in the US, this is definitely a huge boost in terms of Bitcoin presence and will lead to serious Bitcoin adaptation within America.
The buying procedure is very simple. All you need to do is visit one of the locations, download the LibertyX app, enter a BTC address where you would want the Bitcoin to go. Add any cash amount between $20 – $500 and wait for it to be credited to your account which can take about 10 minutes. There will be a retail service fee of $4.95 which is a bit steep but with the prices Bitcoin is venturing into is a fraction of the value. Just to give you a reference, Bitcoin is currently trading in the $9,600 range and is expected to go even higher in July by expert analysts. Once your amount is credited, the user can convert to bitcoin and complete the transaction. With the inclusion of these well-known stores, the trust factor that cryptocurrency lacked before will definitely grow. Even though the LibertyX app shows many active stores, there are still some that are yet to be fully functional and that is precisely the reason why they have a waiting list as new chain stores are being rolled out in stages. What is your take on this topic? Will the general public partake in this massive expansion? Will it be met with good feedback from the customers? Is Cryptocurrency going to take over FIAT money?
